Reader Request - Dinner, Bar hopping, Clubbing Part III

Greetings Fashion Mavens,

I have Part III of a reader request to share with you all from my girl Ebony:

One of my best friends is getting married soon and for her special pre-celebration we are having a full day of activities.  Its on a Saturday and includes a daytime lingerie shower.  Then we are carpooling for a short road trip and doing dinner, bar hopping, and a club.  THEN back to the hotel for a strip show.  Yeah, a lot!

For the shower,  I'm going to be moving and doing a lot to set up and clean up so too many layers will be restricting I think.  I want to be comfortable for the drive to DC.  For dinner, bar hopping, club - I'm at a loss. I want to be versatile and just be able to switch my shoes and maybe an accessory or two.  I also want to be non-fussy so that I can move about easily.

Today I'm giving her a couple suggestions for the strip show.......I know that Ebony wants to be comfortable and after all the traveling and partying, jeans will be a welcome reprieve. But I also threw in an easy dress as an option as well.

Reader Request - Casual Wear for Bridal Shower Strip Show - Part II

For the last outfit of the night, get comfortable but remain stylish in a pair of boyfriend jeans. Add a simple tank and gladiator heels for a super casual yet chic style.

An oversized tee is cute and casually stylish paired with some skinny jeans. Add a bit of color with brightly hued flats. Simple accessories will round out this look well.

Leggings are also perfect for a comfortable evening look. Pair with a top that has a relaxed fit and possibly jazz up the casual ensemble with a scarf or statement necklace. A pair of flat combat boots add a bit of edginess.

At the end of the night.....I know you are going to be tired. A maxi dress is such a quick and chic look to throw on without being too fussy. It's also something I'm sure you already own. Spruce it up with a belt or one statement piece but other than that.....just enjoy the simple styling.

It has been a joy styling for this three part challenge. Have fun Ebony!!! And take pictures :-)

Outfit: Biker Chic - Painterly Tights

Greetings Fashion Pad Readers,

Welcome back from the weekend lovers! I flew to Maryland Friday evening and I spent time with my beautiful friends. However, the real purpose of my trip was to see the newest addition to our crew.I finally had a chance to see my girl's extremely handsome newborn boy. He's freakin' adorable!!! I'll share pics in a couple days.

Before I flew out, I hooked up with a couple of my homies and we met up for drinks...well, you know I drunk that good H2O, lol. I went with a very biker chic look.

I did not wear this jacket zipped up but it was a tad chilly out and I did not want to get sick. I swear this weather is so confused.

I love these obnoxious earrings and rings! FAB!

These leggings are so loud!!! They are definitely not my normal style......but I had to try them out anyways.

Earrings - Street vendor
Jacket and Necklace - Forever 21
Tank - Wet Seal

Reader Request: Complementing New Shorts

Greetings Fashionistas,

What's good people? It's FRRIIIIDAAAAYYYY! Also known as the start of the 2-day break from work (I know, that makes it sound depressing). Anyhew, I'm headed out of town this weekend and I cannot wait to kick it with my girls. Yaaaaayyyyyy *insert happy dance here* I will be in the D.C. metro area so I'll try my best to hit up some of my blogger friends located in the area. It would be rude not to!

Well, before I get out of here, let me share this reader request I received a couple of days ago from Kristi:

Can you help me find a blouse and shoes for an everyday look, with these shorts?

I also included a link to the website just in case you needed another view.

Thanks,

Alright Kristi, thanks so much for the pic and the link to the actual website! I have some fun ideas for you and not knowing what your default style is (i.e. tomboy, chic, modern, whimsical, etc.) I totally threw in a bit of everything. My "every day" look is a bit all over the place so I assume most women I style for switch it up as much as I do. Now let's get started.
I made sure I downloaded the shorts from the website so that I could allow you to visually see my suggestions paired together.

Look 1: I think pairing the shorts with a killer pump in a bright color will pop! In addition, add some patterns to create a chic and stylish outfit

Abrielle by Kelsi Dagger $125.00 www.revolveclothing.com

Tie Back Printed Short-Sleeve Tee $24.50 www.delias.com

Look 2: I know that sometimes we just want to take it easy with our style and I think a tee and sandals fit the bill. The top has horizontal stripes which is really trendy right now. Definitely an "every day" look. No fuss necessary.

Relaxed Striped Tee $9.80 www.forever21.com

Lipsy Flick T-Bar Jelly Flat Sandals $44.76 www.asos.com

Look 3: Rock a well fit blouse and tuck into the waist of the shorts. Then throw in a pair of pumps and you have a classy and chic outfit.
Sheer Polka Dot Blouse $19.80 www.forever21.com

Waleo by Jessica Simpson $61.99 www.6pm.com

Look 4: A sunny hue such as yellow will certainly brighten your outfit. Rock a pair of thong sandals for a relaxed look.

BB Dakota Basha Crinkle Chiffon Blouse
$69.00 www.dillards.com

Dolce Vita - Isold - Tan Leather Thong Gem Sandal
$139.00 www.footnotesonline.com

Look 5: I am all for adding a bit of edginess to any style. I think these shorts will work fabulously with a pair of tough booties and a graphic print tee.

Skeleton Club Tee $55.00 (on sale)

Ash Extreme Bootie
$99.00 (on sale) www.designsbystephene.com

Look 6: If you vibe with the girly look, I would suggest pairing the shorts with a chiffon blouse and fun and practical wedges.

Chiffon Blouse $16.00 www.oldnavy.com

Finder by Joia $44.95 www.lorisshoes.com

Look 7: For the girl that gravitates toward a tomboy style. I would suggest complementing the shorts with a short-sleeve or sleeveless button down shirt, a tie, and a pair of sneakers

Perfect Short Sleeve Cotton Shirt
$58.00 www.anntaylor.com

ASOS Chiffon Bow Neck Tie $14.32 www.asos.com

Chuck Taylor Bleach Polka Dots $55.00 www.converse.com

Well that wraps it up Kristi. I hope I've given you some good ideas for your fab new shorts! Have a great weekend and thanks for the request!
